Countries Accepting Schengen Visas
The Schengen visa is the first need, as expected.
Within the Schengen Area, 26 European nations have eliminated border inspections and visa requirements. A Schengen visa allows you to visit any of the countries that are part of the Schengen Agreement.
However, if you have a valid Schengen visa, you will be able to enter a large number of non-EU countries that have entrusted the Schengen visa screening (ie. you still have valid days and entries left on your visa).
The following nations are not part of the Schengen Area but can be visited with a Schengen visa:
Albania | Croatia | Montenegro |
Antigua and Barbuda | Cyprus* | North Macedonia |
Belarus | Georgia | Romania |
Bosnia and Herzegovina | Gibraltar | Sao Tome and Principe |
Bulgaria | Kosovo | Serbia |
Colombia | Mexico | Turkey |
*Cyprus is a member of the European Union, but it is not a Schengen Area country
