Eligibility

In order to qualify, every student must pass their classes during both the fall and winter quarters. Most of the time, students are required to sign up for and finish at least 60% of a full course load each term (i.e., a minimum of 9 credit hours per term). 

As long as they are registered as full-time students with the Faculty of Graduate Studies for the fall and winter terms, graduate students are exempt from the credit hour minimum requirements.

To be considered, candidates must have a minimum GPA. A 2.0 G.P.A. or higher is required for continuing students. A grade 12 average of at least 70% is required for new high school pupils. 

A scholarship may also be considered for students admitted under the Mature Student Status. The general bursary program does not accept applications from foreign students who are enrolled in their first year of post-secondary education in Canada.
