Scholarship opportunities are available at a number of these prestigious universities for exceptional students from other countries.
We provide a listing of the scholarship opportunities that are available from universities that were ranked among the top 250 universities in the world in 2022.
Overview
Transform-Together Scholarships are only available to international students who will be enrolled in a full-time taught programme in 2022–2023.
For undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses during the first year of study, there is a 50% cost waiver option.
Students who can show they have excelled academically are given scholarships.
Additionally, applicants must explain how they will distinguish themselves from the competition as a Sheffield Hallam University ambassador both during and after their studies.
Applications for scholarships beginning in January 2023 are now being accepted. Applications must be submitted by November 1, 2022.
Applications for scholarships for courses beginning in September 2022 are no longer being accepted.

Where can I apply?
Please follow these procedures to apply for a Transform Together Scholarship for January 2023.
- submit a course application to Sheffield Hallam. Please check out our online prospectus if you have not yet applied for a course.
- Verify that you meet the requirements for the scholarships listed below.
- Apply for a scholarship online using the link below by the deadline of November 1, 2022, once you have registered for a course and obtained a student identification number from us.
Application for scholarships
By November 1, 2022, send your academic transcripts to globalscholarshiptranscripts@shu.ac.uk.
Within a month following the deadline, you will be informed if you were successful.
Who may apply?
If you want to be considered for one of these scholarships, you must
- Be a foreign student who pays tuition (postgraduate only) .
- You have earned a minimum GPA of 2.1 in your undergraduate honors degree, and you must also satisfy the course's English and academic entry standards (postgraduate only).
- Have never before received a postgraduate degree, whether in the UK or abroad. Scholarships from Transform Together are only available to students who are switching from undergraduate to graduate education.
- (undergraduate only) - must fulfill the course's academic and English entry requirements.
- You've applied to Sheffield Hallam University for a full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate study and obtained your student identification number.
- Self-funding your education entirely -This indicates that you are not receiving financial aid for your education from a government, scholarship provider, business, or employer.
- You must be able to cover any additional costs your course may impose, such as field trips and tuition for additional years of study.
You cannot submit an application if you
- The course for which you are seeking for a scholarship has already begun.
- Have already been awarded a Transform Together scholarship for an equivalent course (postgraduate students only)
- Have previously received a postgraduate degree, whether from the UK or another country.
- Receive support for your education in full or in part from a sponsor or another scholarship provider.
- have been offered a spot on one of our international foundation programs and are requesting to enroll in a Sheffield Hallam course at a partner university outside the UK.
We urge candidates to accept their offer since we reserve the right to only consider them for a scholarship if they have accepted a scholarship offer for their intended course of study.
Additional details
- Scholarships are competitive, and recipients are chosen based on the data submitted in the online application.
- Your eight-digit Student Identifier (SI) number must be entered on the online scholarship application form. When your course application has been processed, the University will give it to you.
- Scholarships from Transform Together are given as a tuition fee break and solely cover costs associated with the first year of study. There is no financial substitute available.
- Transform Together scholarships cannot be transferred or delayed to begin at a later time.
- For each term of study, a single financial incentive (scholarship or award) is allowed.
- Our scholarship offer is subject to change each academic year because the university changes and reviews it every year.
The University alone has the last say in all matter.
