The GREAT Scholarships are a set of prestigious scholarships awarded annually to students from selected countries who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom.
The scholarship program is sponsored by the British Council in partnership with UK universities and is aimed at promoting higher education opportunities in the UK for international students.

To be eligible for a GREAT scholarship, applicants must be
citizens of one of the participating countries, have an offer to study a
full-time postgraduate course at a participating UK university, and meet the
academic and English language requirements of the university.
The participating countries and universities for the 2022-23 academic year are as follows:
- China: University of Birmingham, University of Edinburgh, University of Essex, University of Glasgow, University of Leeds, University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield, University of Southampton, and University of York.
- India: Cardiff University, Cranfield University, Durham University, Lancaster University, Queen's University Belfast, Robert Gordon University, University of East Anglia, University of Strathclyde, University of Warwick, and University of York.
- Indonesia: University of Birmingham, University of Edinburgh, University of Glasgow, University of Leeds, University of Nottingham, and University of Sheffield.
- Kenya: Cardiff University, Durham University, Queen's University Belfast, University of Aberdeen, University of Birmingham, University of Glasgow, University of Stirling, and University of Strathclyde.
- Malaysia: University of Birmingham, University of Dundee, University of Essex, University of Glasgow, University of Reading, University of Sheffield, and University of Warwick.
