Winnipeg President’s Scholarships for World Leaders

Foreign students may apply for a special scholarship at the University of Winnipeg. International students enrolling in any division of the university for the first time will be eligible for the President's Scholarship. It is worth $3,500 to receive the award.

Scholarships for international students offered by the University of Winnipeg in 2023–2024 are partially supported. This year, there are 53 scholarships available. These scholarships are available for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate study. 

Winnipeg President’s Scholarships 

All candidates have to prepare following document to apply online for Canadian Scholarships for Nigerian Students 2022-2023:

• Letter of Acceptance.
• Academic transcripts.
• Statement of Intent or Statement of Purpose.
• Score Certificate of Aptitude Test (GMAT, GRE, SAT, etc.)  
• Score certificate of English Proficiency test result (IELTS, TOEFL, e.t.c).
• Medical test certificate.

If you are a Presidential Scholar, you must continue to meet specific criteria in order to be eligible for the award. 

These requirements include: 

1. Successfully completing a minimum of 12 semester hours each semester; and 

2. Maintaining a 3.25 cumulative or semester GPA each semester or term.

Brief Overview

Eligibility

The following requirements must be met by applicants:

• Possess a grade point average from college of at least 80%.

• International status; 

• First-year enrollment in any program; 

• Exemplary leadership abilities; and enrollment in any program.

• Before the scholarship deadline, submit a comprehensive entrance application.
