While annual tuition at public universities ranges from €200 to €600, at private universities it can reach €10,000. The annual average for living expenses is €10,000.
Thankfully, there are several French scholarships available for international students.

Through the IDEX scholarships, the Université Paris-Saclay seeks to facilitate access for highly qualified foreign students to its University, especially those who wish to develop an academic project through research up to the doctoral level.
These programs lead to a master's (a nationally recognized degree), and are taught in member institutions.

Value and length of the award:
It costs €10,000 a year to receive the scholarship. It is paid by the University of Paris-Saclay for the entire academic year and for a minimum of 10 months in a row each year.
According to the candidate's country of origin, a maximum of €1,000 is also given for travel and visa costs.
Depending on the level of admission (M1 or M2), these scholarships are given out for one or two years, but only if the students have earned the necessary credits to move up a year level.

Eligible are:
Students accepted into one of the following organizations' master's programs offered by the Université Paris-Saclay: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupelec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, UEVE, UPSaclay, UVSQ. Only those of these students who meet one of the following descriptions are permitted to submit an application:
• Freshly arrived international students who were under 30 during the selection year.
• Foreign students who have resided in France for less than a year and are presently or have previously attended a training program or an internship that does not result in certification.
• Foreign-nationality students enrolled in language courses who have been studying in France for less than a year
• Students who have previously resided in France as part of a mobility program for their studies (such as Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degrees, exchange programs, etc.) that did not result in certification.
Ineligible
All students who have been or are currently enrolled in a French higher education institution for academic purposes, with the exception of international students who are enrolled in a French higher education institution overseas, are disqualified.
• People who have dropped out of school for more than three years in a row.
• Students who receive any other sort of scholarship with a monthly value greater than €650.
Application guidelines:
The application period is now over.
Students must first be accepted into one of Université Paris-programs Saclay's Master's in order to be eligible for the scholarships. Being accepted into the University's master's program does not guarantee that you will receive financial aid.
Students who have been chosen will automatically receive an email with a link to an online application form.
Students can only apply if they get an email from Université Paris-Saclay encouraging them to do so for a Université Paris-Saclay IDEX scholarship. Unsolicited applications are not accepted.
To be considered for admission, applications must be submitted by April 28, 2022, for master's programs. The 7th of May 2022 is the deadline for submission of scholarship applications.
