Brief description:
The Vrije Universiteit Fellowship Program (VUFP) provides exceptional prospective students from outside the EU or EEA with the one-of-a-kind opportunity to study a Master's degree at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Scholarship benefits and inclusions are as follows
The VUFP scholarship will pay all of your college expenses.
The VUFP scholarship does not provide any additional funds to help defray the cost of either tuition or living expenses.
A Master's degree program that lasts either one or two years can qualify for the VUFP scholarship.
If the student has successfully completed all twelve credits in the first year of the two-year Master's degree, the scholarship will be carried over into the second year of the program.
When you submit an application for a scholarship through the VUFP, you are also automatically considered for the Holland Scholarship Programme.
There is no need to submit a separate application. If you are eligible for the HSP, you will receive either 5,000 or 10,000 euros as a contribution toward your annual cost of living expenses.
Eligibility
• Because you do not hold a passport from either the EU or the EEA, you will not be able to take advantage of the reduced tuition rate.
You are not eligible to be a citizen of the Netherlands.
• You can prove your academic brilliance (GPA equivalent to a Dutch 8).
• You have been conditionally or unconditionally accepted into the first year of a full-time Master's degree at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam beginning in September 2023.
The program will be taught in English. VUFP is not open to students who will begin their studies at VU Amsterdam in February, and it does not include joint programs in which VU Amsterdam is not responsible for administering the admissions procedure.
• The degree you have that qualifies you for admission was not earned in the Netherlands where the university is located.
• Prior to beginning your Master's degree, you will not be required to finish any kind of preparatory program.

Before you may submit an application for the VUFP scholarship, you will first need to ensure that you have been conditionally accepted into the Master's program where you wish to study.
Students have until the 15th of December of 2022 to register for a Master's program through Studielink (from 1 October 2022).
Then, you have until the 1st of February 2023 to submit your application for the VUFP along with any supporting documentation through your VU dashboard (from 1 December 2022).
