Brief description
The Holland-High Potential Scholarship program at Maastricht University (UM) awards twenty-four full scholarships to exceptionally talented students from outside the European Union (EU) who have been accepted to a Master's program at UM.
Each scholarship is worth thirty thousand euros and includes a monthly stipend in addition to the waiver of tuition fees.
The Holland High Potential Scholarship combines the High Potential Scholarship with the Holland Scholarship to provide a single award for deserving students.

Students who are citizens of countries that are not members of the EU or EEA.
Scholarship benefits and inclusions are as follows:
The scholarship will pay for living expenses (€12,350 for 13 months and €23,750 for 25 months), health and liability insurance (€700), the cost of applying for a visa (€207), the cost of tuition (at cost), and the cost of pre-academic training.
The High Potential scholarship is granted for the entirety of the Master's program: 13 months for a master's program that lasts one year and 25 months for a master's program that lasts two years.
Eligibility:
Every applicant needs to demonstrate that they are qualified in the following areas:
• You are not a citizen of a country that is part of the EU or EEA, but you meet all of the other requirements necessary to acquire a visa to enter the Netherlands and a permit to live there.
• You do not hold dual citizenship with a country that is a member of the EU or EEA.
• You have submitted an application to enroll in a Master's degree program at Maastricht University that requires you to attend classes full-time during the 2023-2024 academic year.
• You are qualified to enroll in the Master's program at the University of Miami (UM) for which you have submitted an application.
• You have never attended a program leading to a degree at a higher education institution, a program leading to a primary education, or a program leading to a secondary education in the Netherlands.
Students who have participated in and successfully completed an exchange program in the Netherlands are encouraged to apply.
• You will not have reached the age of 35 by the 1st of September 2023.
• Your most recent grade transcript or certificate of academic achievement demonstrates that you have achieved outstanding outcomes across the many education programs that you have completed in the past.
In the event that multiple candidates share the same level of qualifications, we will give preference to those candidates whose academic transcripts or certified letters of academic excellence demonstrate that they are among the top 5% of applicants for the scholarship program for 2023/24.
Instructions for submitting an application:
In order to submit an application for the scholarship, the first thing you need to do is enroll in one of the Master of Arts (MA) programs offered by Maastricht University.
After you have finished submitting your application through Studielink, you will be given a student ID number.
In order to finish and submit the Scholarship Application Form, you will need your student ID number.
After that, you will need to complete the application form, add the necessary papers, and finally, you will need to submit your application online.
The deadline for submission of applications is February 1st, 2023.
