Brief description
The Gates Foundation is known for bestowing some of the most prestigious scholarships in the world upon Cambridge University students.
Exceptional applicants from countries other than the United Kingdom are extended the opportunity to receive full support to attend the Postgraduate School at the University of Cambridge for one academic year.

Grade in the Following Subject(s):
A Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D), a Master of Science degree (M.Sc), a Master of Letters degree, or a Postgraduate Certificate in Any University Subject are all acceptable alternatives.
The following academic disciplines are ineligible for Gates Cambridge Scholarship:
- To be in possession of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree or a degree with a major that is associated with a BA (a second BA)
- A Doctorate in Business Administration is what you have here (BusD)
- Qualifications: • MBA (MBA) (MBA)
- Degree: M.S. in Finance (MFin)
- PGCE
- Clinical Studies in Preparation for the M.B.Chiropractors
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine (6 years, part-time)
- • A School of Medicine for Graduate Students (A101)
- Education that can be obtained even while the student is working full-time.
- Classes that are not applied toward the completion of a degree.
- Classes that can be taken to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching degree (from September 2022)

About eighty academic scholarships are awarded on an annual basis.

The Scholarship Offers the Following Benefits:
Students who are awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship are provided with financial support to cover all costs associated with attending Cambridge University.
These costs include not only tuition but also living expenses (estimated to be £18,384 per month for the academic year 2022-2023), books, supplies, transportation, visas, and more.
In addition to that, it comes with a number of optional extras such as funds for the enhancement of the school, an allowance for the family, and other activities.

Eligibility
An application for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship may be submitted by a candidate who satisfies any one or more of the following requirements:
• a citizen of another country who does not make their permanent home in the United Kingdom.
• submitting an application to enroll in a full-time residential postgraduate program of study lasting more than one year, such as a PhD, MSc, or MLitt; or another such program of study;
Instructions for Completing an Application:
The application season for the 2023–24 academic year will begin on September 15, 2023, and will end on September 14, 2024.
Prospective graduate students can submit their applications for admission and funding through the university's Graduate Application Portal (Gates Cambridge and other funds).
You are required to complete the funding section of the application for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship.
This area includes the application for admission to a course and a College place in addition to the section for the Gates Cambridge Scholarship.
The application deadline for Gates Cambridge is October 12th, 2022 for US citizens who are currently residing in the United States.
The deadline for all other applicants is either December 1st, 2022 or January 5th, 2023. (for any and all other applicants who are eligible)
