Why Eiffel Scholarships?

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs created the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program to help French higher education institutions draw top international students to their master's and PhD programs.

It encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries for master's level programs and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries for PhD level programs, giving opportunities to future foreign decision-makers in the private and public sectors in priority areas of study.

In collaboration with a partner institution abroad, a master's degree program, engineering program, or joint doctoral program (joint supervision of dissertation and/or dual degree) may be offered.


Studying area(s):

The seven subjects of study listed below are covered by two significant disciplinary fields under the Eiffel scholarships for the Master's and Doctoral components:

• In terms of science and technology, consider biology and health, ecological change, and mathematics and digital. Technical Sciences

• History, the French language, and culture for humanities and social sciences; political science, economics, and management; and Law.

Value, features, and length of the scholarship:

The Eiffel scholarship, which can be granted for 12-36 months of graduate-level study, gives a €1,181 monthly stipend. 

The Eiffel scholarship, which is given for a maximum of 12 months of study at the PhD level, comprises a monthly grant of €1,700.

The program also covers a range of costs, such as airfare abroad, domestic travel, health insurance, house hunting, and cultural pursuits.

The Eiffel Program does not offer tuition reimbursement.

Instructions for Application:

Applications from students themselves ARE NOT accepted. 

French higher education institutions submit applications for EIFFEL scholarships.

As a result, in order to be considered for the scholarship, you must apply and fulfill the conditions of the French higher education institution. 

Applications that are sent directly by students or by foreign institutions will be rejected.

In November or December of 2022, applicants to participating French institutions must submit their applications. 

10 January 2023 is the application cutoff date for Campus France.
