- All non-Argentine nationals staying in the country for more than three months are required to register with the local authorities and obtain a residency permit/National ID Card in addition to the visa.
Validity of Transit Visa for Argentina
- Travelers entering Argentina en route to another country are eligible to apply for a Transit Visa. The Argentine Transit Visa is good for 10 days. The Dirección Nacional de Migraciones can grant a visa extension in extraordinary cases.
- You do not need a transit visa if you are only changing flights in an Argentine airport and will not be leaving the transit region for less than 12 hours.
Visa Requirements for Travel to Argentina
An Argentine visa application requires a stack of paperwork. The forms you must fill out and submit vary from trip to trip and purpose of travel. To apply for a visa to Argentina, however, you'll need to bring the following items:
