Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students

To study a full-time master's degree in Wales, applicants may be eligible for scholarships worth up to £10,000. Students from Vietnam, India, the United States, Canada, and the EU can apply for the scholarships. 

This esteemed program, the first of its kind in Wales, is provided by the Global Wales Programme, a collaboration between the Welsh Government, Universities Wales, The British Council, and HEFCW, and is supported by Taith.

The Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship is available at every university in Wales, however you must have already applied for a spot in a postgraduate program that qualifies before submitting your scholarship application.

Brief Overview

International students from Vietnam, India, the United States, and nations in the European Union are eligible to apply for scholarships worth up to £10,000 through the Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship program to study a full-time master's program in Wales.

The Global Wales Program, a collaboration between the Welsh Government, Universities Wales, The British Council, and HEFCW, provides funding for the scholarships.

USA, Canada, India, and Vietnam comprise the rest of the world.

Scholarship worth or features:

Each grant is worth up to £10,000 toward the cost of postgraduate masters degree tuition for one year. The student is in charge of any additional fees and expenses.

Eligibility:

In order to qualify for the Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarships, you must:

• Be scheduled to begin your postgraduate program in September 2023; 

• Be classified as an international student for the purpose of paying tuition; 

• Be a national of one of the eligible countries; 

• Have submitted an application to study an eligible postgraduate program at one of the Welsh Universities (see above).

Guidelines for use:

You must have submitted a university study application in order to be eligible for the scholarships. While applying for a scholarship, you must submit your university application number. 

For entrance into the scholarship program in September 2023, the scholarship application must be filed online by May 31, 2023.
