Brief Description
International students who wish to enroll in a full-time undergraduate program at York University are eligible for the Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships and the International Entrance Scholarships of Distinction, respectively, offered by York University.

Value and components of the scholarship
President's International Scholarship of Excellence: $180,000 (at a cost of $45,000 each year for four years).
Tentanda Via Award: $120,00 ($30,000 multiplied by four years)
Award for Global Leader of Tomorrow: $80,000 ($20,000 multiplied by 4 years).
For three years of full-time undergraduate study, all of the aforementioned scholarships are renewable, provided excellent academic status is maintained each academic year.
Eligibility:
You must satisfy EVERY requirement listed below in order to be eligible for the Major International Scholarships:
• Must be an international student with a study permit in order to study in Canada.
• You must have applied to a York University undergraduate program for the fall of 2022.
• Applicants to York must not have attended any previous universities or colleges and must have applied straight out of high school or no later than two years after graduation.
• Must possess a strong academic record with at least a "A" average or its equivalent.
• Must have exhibited leadership via volunteerism in the community or proficiency in the arts, athletics, or other fields of personal achievement.
• Must have their high school nominate them.
(i) The nominee will be given consideration for the York University Academic Excellence Scholarships, the International Entrance Scholarship of Distinction, the Global Leader of Tomorrow Award, and the International Circle of Scholars Scholarships.
(ii) Applicants need to discuss the York International Student Scholarship & Award Application with their school's guidance counselor, principal, or administration and get confirmation that they are the student from that school who has been nominated.
(iii) The aspirant must then provide in the application form the nominater's name, title, contact information, and phone number.
• You must provide one recommendation letter.
• You must make sure that all necessary documents are listed as "Received" in the York application (MyFile) by February 1st, 2022, at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
• By February 3, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, you must successfully complete and submit the online application for the International Student Scholarship.
Application Guidelines:
Applications for 2022–2023 are no longer being accepted. Beginning in December 2022, applications for the following cycle will be accepted.
You must submit the online International Student Scholarship & Award Application form in order to apply.
After applying to York, you will receive a 9-digit York reference number within 5 business days. By no later than January 15, 2022, you must send York your application. The application date is 3 February 2022.
