Toronto University has a competitive admissions process. Your academic record will be taken into account; however, certain programs may also need other materials, such as auditions or profiles.

International students are not eligible for financial help at the University of Toronto because it is a publicly supported university.

Brief  Overview

The University of Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program honors international students who have distinguished themselves through their academic prowess, originality, and leadership in their respective schools. 

The student's influence on their school and community, as well as their potential to make future contributions that will be beneficial to the world community, are given significant consideration.

Scholarship worth, components, and length

For four years, the scholarship will pay for all living expenses in addition to tuition, books, and other miscellaneous costs.


Eligibility

To qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, you must be one of the following:

(A). Enrolled in your final year of high school or will have graduated no sooner than June 2022; 

(B) An international student (i.e., a non-Canadian requiring a study permission);

(C) Commencing your academic career in September 2023 at the University of Toronto (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their studies in January 2023 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered)


Application Guidelines

You need to apply to the University of Toronto for undergraduate study and receive a nomination from your institution in order to be considered for the Pearson Scholars program. 

For consideration, you must:

• Have your school put forth a nomination. (High schools that have not been contacted or verified yet are urged to file an application for nomination privileges available here.)

• Fill out your application for admission by the required deadlines and apply to study at the University of Toronto to start your studies in 2023.

• After submitting an application to the university and receiving a nomination from the university, you can complete the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application.


The deadline for school nominations is November 30, 2022. The deadline for student applications is December 14, 2022. (you are recommended to apply before 7 November 2022). The deadline for submission of scholarship applications is January 16, 2023.
