The Utrecht Excellence scholarship is a one-year prize that can be given in the form of tuition fees AND the required income related to a residence permit for study as defined by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service.
The scholarship is granted for the amount of time that is traditionally considered to be the entirety of the program.
Eligibility
The following are the requirements you must meet in order to be considered for an Utrecht Excellence Scholarship:
• You must be in the top 10 percent of your graduating class in order to qualify.
• Not be a holder of a passport issued by either the EU or the EEA, making them ineligible for financial assistance from the Dutch government in the form of grants or loans for higher education.
• You must have received your secondary education and/or bachelor's degree from an institution that is not located in the Netherlands.
• You must have submitted an application to a recognized foreign master's program with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2023.

Non-EU and non-EEA students will have the opportunity to submit an application for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship beginning on November 1, 2022.
The application for the scholarship must be submitted in addition to any application(s) submitted for an eligible UES Master's program before the deadline established for that program.
If future students are interested in being considered for the scholarship, they are need to submit an application before the deadline of January 31, 2023 at 23:59 CET. After that time, the application portal will be closed.
